The QCABHA board of directors has suspended planning for a clinic and the horse shows in 2026.  This is due to the uncertain impacts of the EHV-1 outbreak which is causing a serious neurological disease in horses called Equine Herpes Myeloencephalopathy, EHM.  Planning for the horse shows and the clinics has to be completed far ahead of the events.  Uncertainties of the EHV-1 outbreak have impacted the critical timelines for planning 2026 events, especially since anticipated events were scheduled to start as early as April.  The board will monitor developments in the outbreak and adapt to conditions as they occur.
